What to Expect

What are the services like?

At CRBC we use Sunday School to dig deep into the Bible as we study truths from the Word of God. The Sunday School is available for all ages. Both morning and evening services are designed to bring glory to the Lord through the music, fellowship, and preaching of the Word of God, and typically last between an hour to an hour and a half.

What type of church are we?

If we were to be labeled, we would be considered an autonomous Baptist church, but primarily we consider ourselves a Bible believing church. What the Bible says, we believe. What the Bible emphasizes, we seek to emphasize. Because of that, please feel free to visit with us even if you are not a Baptist.

What type of music do we sing and use?

By choice, we primarily use what are considered the cherished hymns of the faith. These include hymns such as "The Old Rugged Cross", "Victory in Jesus", and "Glory to His Name". Our primary focus is to bring glory to the Lord and that may include songs that were written 500 years ago or only five years ago. Please visit our Doctrinal Statement for more details.

What provisions are made for children?

All children are invited to remain in the service, unless they need special attention by a parent or trained worker. For babies (infant to age two), a nursery is provided adjacent to the auditorium, where a parent can leave their child with our trained workers.

What provisions are made for children's safety?

At CRBC, the safety of all children is a priority. Great efforts are made to ensure the safety and well-being of every person but especially children. Every worker is trained to work with children and to care for them but every worker must first meet certain criteria, which includes passing a background check, and must also follow strict guidelines. We are also constantly working to improve and update our facilities to meet current standards and regulations.

What do we typically wear to church?

There is no dress code at Cross Road Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in a more traditional “Sunday” style. The men usually wear a dress shirt and dress slacks, typically with a tie and many in a coat or suit. The women typically wear a modest dress. However, our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here at Cross Road Baptist Church!
